Choose a pool cleaner for the type of deposit
Greasy waterline marks, limescale and everyday dirt need different treatments. The cleaner must also suit the surface: liner, plastic, stainless steel and surface coatings can have different requirements.
The waterline
The 1 l pool edge cleaner is intended for dirt at the waterline. Apply it with a suitable tool according to the instructions; a stiff brush or abrasive sponge can damage a delicate surface.
Mineral deposits on walls
Compactal GEL, 1 l is an acidic cleaner for thorough cleaning of walls and stubborn deposits. It is different from a product added to the water to reduce deposit formation.
Follow each product's instructions for dilution, contact time, rinsing and whether it can be used while the pool is filled. Test on an inconspicuous area before wider application as recommended by the manufacturer. Not every cleaner can be assumed harmless to pool water.
Never mix cleaning concentrates. Use products explicitly intended for filter media, salt chlorinator electrodes or hot tub pipework when cleaning those components.
