Choose a pool cleaner by its cleaning method
A manual vacuum head, a suction cleaner connected to filtration and a standalone robot clean in different ways. The choice depends on the pool's surface and shape, the type of debris and how much cleaning you want done without manual guidance.
Manual vacuuming through the filtration system
The De-Luxe vacuum head has bottom and side brushes and a connection for a 32 or 38 mm hose. It is used with a telescopic pole and a hose connected to a suction point. The head itself has no motor or filter.
A standalone robot
The Dolphin E10 is an electric automatic cleaner with its own filter basket, designed primarily to clean the floor of residential pools. Not all robots clean full walls and the waterline; these capabilities depend on the specific model.
For a corded robot, consider cable reach and power supply placement; for a battery model, charging and cycle length matter. Filter design also affects fine dust collection. A cleaner removes debris, but does not replace water testing, disinfection or routine pool filter maintenance.
