Pool Heat Pumps
Choose a heat pump by pool volume and heating output. Compare the output, control technology and power supply within each range.
Our approximate volume filter uses 1 kW of heating output per 3.5 mÂł of water. For example, a 35 mÂł pool corresponds to about 10 kW. Final sizing also depends on the pool cover, weather and target water temperature.

A heat pump to suit your pool and swimming season
A pool heat pump transfers heat from the surrounding air to the water. Selection depends on pool volume, surface cover, desired temperature and the months of use. The same pool can have different heating needs in summer and when extending the season.
Heat output is not electrical input
Distinguish between the heat delivered to the water and the electricity consumed. Compare output and coefficient of performance under the same air and water conditions; a peak figure measured in warm weather does not describe spring performance.
Specific ranges available
The Rapid Inverter RIC20 offers both heating and cooling. According to its product details, the Fairland XP26 10 kW has a 230 V power supply, 50 mm connections and a recommended flow of 2–4 m³/h. Each range therefore needs to be matched to the filtration system and electrical supply.
Allow space for airflow and condensate drainage as specified in the manual. A pool cover reduces evaporation and helps retain heat. An inverter designation or a low minimum operating temperature alone does not guarantee a particular electricity bill or year-round swimming.
