Adjusting pH based on water tests
pH minus lowers pH, while pH plus raises it. Product selection starts with testing and the target range specified for your chemicals and equipment. The appearance of the water alone does not show which adjustment is needed.
Manual and automatic dosing
Granular products are used for manual adjustments according to their labels. Liquid ASEKO pH Minus, 20 l is also offered for automatic dosing. A dosing station needs a supported chemical and concentration, along with a correctly set-up probe.
pH and alkalinity are different measurements
Alkalinity, 1 kg raises alkalinity. It is not a direct replacement for pH plus or pH minus. When pH repeatedly fluctuates, measuring alkalinity is more useful than alternating between the two pH adjusters without identifying the cause.
The amount required depends on water volume, the starting value and the water's characteristics. Retest after application and mixing according to the instructions. Do not automatically use dosing figures from a different brand or concentration.
Keep products in their original packaging and never mix concentrates. pH adjustment is part of pool maintenance, not a replacement for disinfection.
