Chlorine shock for intensive pool water treatment
Shock chlorination is used as needed, for example when opening a pool or dealing with a water problem. The product and dose depend on its composition, pool volume and test results. The name “chlorine shock” does not mean that all products have the same formulation.
Granules in different pack sizes
Options include Chemoclor CH Super Shock granules, 1 kg and CHLOR Shock Probazen, 1 kg. When switching products, follow the new product's label for dosing. The same quantity of granules cannot simply be carried over between different formulations.
Application and follow-up testing
First assess pH, disinfectant concentration and filter condition. The product instructions specify how to add it, whether pre-dissolving is required and when swimming can resume. A fixed wait such as “until the next day” does not, by itself, confirm that the water concentration is suitable.
Never mix chlorine concentrates with other chemicals or with each other. Follow the manufacturers' instructions when changing water care systems, rather than applying a universal double dose. Persistent cloudiness may also require attention to filtration or other water characteristics.
Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
