The sand in your sand filtration system is designed to effectively capture even the finest impurities thanks to its optimal grain size of 0.3 - 0.8 mm. Blown sand with edges better captures impurities and ensures cleaner water.
Wash the sand on the backwash once every three weeks.
Long-term efficiency and easy replacement
Sand should be replaced once every 3 years-4 years (the more filtration, the later) for outdoor pools and every 2 years for indoor pools with permanent use to maintain its absorbent properties. With regular replacement, your filtration will remain effective and you will save money on pool chemicals.
