Drop test kits for regular water checks
Drop test kits let you monitor pool water by comparing a coloured sample with the supplied scale. The DUKE chlorine and pH kit suits routine chlorine care, while the Br/pH kit is for bromine-treated water. A separate total hardness test measures a parameter that the basic Cl/pH kit does not cover.
Accurate readings start with a clean test chamber
The result depends on the sample volume, number of drops and reading time. Follow the instructions for the particular kit. Read the colour in suitable lighting and rinse the test chambers after use. With a chlorine kit, distinguish between the procedures for free and total chlorine.
Reagents can be replenished
You do not need to buy a complete tester when the drops run out. Choose replacement reagents to match your kit. Observing expiry dates and storage instructions is as important for reliable measurements as a clean test chamber.
