Filtration with a robust pump
BADU is a brand of SPECK Pumpen. The self-priming Prime has a glass-fibre-reinforced body and a prefilter to intercept coarse debris. The shaft is separated from the pool water. The standard model is suitable for salt concentrations up to 5 g/l; higher salinity requires a suitable AK version.

Dimensions and motor version
Dimensions from the manufacturer’s 04/2025 data sheet: 799 × 270 × 426 mm. The inlet centre is 295 mm above the base. Leave approximately 300 mm above the lid for basket removal and 200 mm behind the motor for maintenance. Older motor versions can have different input power and length; check the nameplate and available space when replacing an existing pump.
Selection and maintenance
Actual flow depends on the system resistance. Maximum head is a separate limit and is not the head at the rated flow. The manufacturer allows installation up to 3 m above or below the water level. Prime the pump before starting and never run it dry. Disconnect power and release pressure before opening the prefilter. Keep the motor ventilated and protect it from flooding and frost.
