Standard pool pump
The Blue Power pool pump is made of highly durable glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene, ensuring a long service life and resistance to mechanical damage. Its self-priming capability allows installation up to 1.5 m above the water level, providing a wide range of positioning options.

Performance and efficiency combined
With a flow rate of 13 m³/h and a voltage of 230 V, this pump is designed for medium-sized domestic pools. Its 0.55 kW output helps keep pool water clean and fresh. The maximum water temperature is 35°C, suitable for most pool applications.
Easy installation and maintenance
The Hanscraft Blue Power 550 pump is designed for easy installation and maintenance. Its compact dimensions (500 × 220 × 270 mm) and preinstalled power cable with a 220 V plug simplify mounting and connection. The glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene pump body and diffuser ensure lasting durability and reliability.
Features for high efficiency
The pump has a hair and debris prefilter that is easy to inspect and clean, improving efficiency and reducing maintenance frequency. The pump body and diffuser are made of highly durable material for a long service life and corrosion resistance.
The pump is self-priming and can be installed up to 1.5 m above the water level (we nevertheless always recommend using a non-return valve on the suction side if the pump is above the water level).
The pump body is made of reinforced polypropylene with glass fibre. The bearings, mechanical seal and pump shaft are made of AISI 316 stainless steel.
The pump is designed for domestic pools.

Which pool pump should you choose?
Use the table below to select a suitable pump for your pool. The full pool volume should pass through the pump approximately once every 3 hours, allowing 6 hours of filtration per day except on the hottest days.
If the pump is close to the pool (within 2–4 metres), use the first column.
When installed close to the pool, we recommend this pump for pools with a volume of 30–55 m³.

You may need the following when installing the Blue Power pool pump:
Connect the pump to the pool circuit using, for example, 50 mm pipes or 50 mm flexible hose. We also recommend installing a 50 mm pool ball valve before and after the pump, especially if it is below the pool water level. This prevents the pool from draining when you work on the pump. For solvent-welding, use pool adhesive for PVC joints.
Installation:
The pump must be mounted on a firm, smooth surface. Secure the pump properly using the two mounting holes in its base and two suitable screws or threaded studs to prevent noise and vibration that could interfere with operation.
Protect the pump from possible flooding, ensure adequate ventilation and prevent exposure to frost. If installed outdoors, the pump should be protected from rain.
We recommend installing shut-off valves on both the suction and discharge sides so that the pump can be removed when necessary without draining all the pipework.
The suction pipe must have at least the same diameter as the pump inlet. On the discharge side, use pipework with a diameter matching the pump outlet.
The suction pipe must have a slight upward slope towards the pump to prevent air pockets.
After winterising the pool we recommend storing the pump in a dry place with a constant temperature, such as a garage. This extends its service life and prevents the corrosion that can occur in a damp pool equipment pit during wet autumn weather and winter frost.
