Zodiac RA 6800iQ Alpha robotic pool cleaner
Our pool specialist’s view
Complete cleaning for private pools up to 15 × 7 m
Dual 150 + 60 µm filtration
Lift System, trolley and water-temperature sensor
The 21 m cable does not change the recommended pool-size limit
The finer filter needs more frequent rinsing
We would recommend RA 6800iQ for a larger private pool needing corded cleaning, dual filtration and convenient handling. Its equipment is useful for regular operation. Compare pool dimensions with the manufacturer’s recommendation rather than the overall cable length.

How this model works in practice
The 150 and 60 µm filters can be used to suit debris conditions, with the coarser 150 µm filter usable alone. Sensor Nav System guides the route, four-wheel drive assists traction and Lift System aids removal. Equipment includes a water-temperature sensor, pressure sensor and trolley; the cable is 21 m.
Controls and equipment
- Corded power lets the cleaner complete its programme without recharging a battery.
- Four-wheel drive and Sensor Nav System guide movement around the pool. Lift System helps with retrieval.
Filtration: what is actually supplied
This version is supplied with 150 + 60 µm filtration. A lower micron figure indicates finer filtration. Fine filters clog sooner under a heavy debris load, so check them regularly. The cleaner does not replace the pool’s filtration and water treatment.
Before choosing
The 21 m cable length is not the recommended pool length. Use the 15 × 7 m pool-size limit when choosing.

Care after cleaning
Lift the cleaner by its handle and allow water to drain. Empty the filter and rinse it with clean water; a clogged basket reduces suction. Follow the manufacturer’s operating, charging and storage instructions.
How to care for your automatic pool cleaner
Regular care helps maintain performance and extend the cleaner’s service life. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions and the operating limits of your model.
- Maintain correct pH and chemical levels. Unsuitable pH or excessive sanitiser concentrations can damage materials and shorten the cleaner’s life.
- Do not leave the cleaner in the pool unnecessarily. Remove the cleaner from the water after the cleaning cycle. Rinse it with clean water, allow it to drain and store it in a dry, ventilated place. Unnecessary prolonged immersion exposes its components to pool chemicals and mineral deposits.
- Clean the filter after every use. Empty and thoroughly rinse the basket or filter bag. A clogged filter restricts water flow and reduces cleaning performance.
- Rinse the entire cleaner after use in salt water. Avoid unnecessary immersion. After removal, thoroughly rinse the exterior, filter compartment and removable filters with clean, unsalted water to remove salt residue. Follow the manual’s rinsing and handling instructions.
