Zodiac RA 6900iQ Alpha robotic pool cleaner
Our pool specialist’s view
Reach for private pools up to 20 × 10 m
Dual 150 + 60 µm filtration and four-wheel drive
Lift System, trolley and iAquaLink
The 25 m cable needs correct preparation and care
A large private-pool rating does not make it a commercial cleaner
We would choose RA 6900iQ for a large private pool requiring greater corded reach. Dual filtration and the trolley simplify operation. Despite its larger recommended pool dimensions, we treat it as a private-pool model rather than automatically a commercial cleaner.

How this model works in practice
The cable is 25 m long. Four-wheel drive, Sensor Nav System and a pressure sensor support pool navigation, with a water-temperature sensor also fitted. Supplied 150 + 60 µm filters, iAquaLink, Lift System and a transport trolley assist maintenance and handling.
Controls and equipment
- Corded power lets the cleaner complete its programme without recharging a battery.
- Four-wheel drive and Sensor Nav System guide movement around the pool. Lift System helps with retrieval.
Filtration: what is actually supplied
This version is supplied with 150 + 60 µm filtration. A lower micron figure indicates finer filtration. Fine filters clog sooner under a heavy debris load, so check them regularly. The cleaner does not replace the pool’s filtration and water treatment.
Before choosing
This is a private-pool model. Its larger recommended pool dimensions do not in themselves make it a commercial-pool cleaner.

Care after cleaning
Lift the cleaner by its handle and allow water to drain. Empty the filter and rinse it with clean water; a clogged basket reduces suction. Follow the manufacturer’s operating, charging and storage instructions.
How to care for your automatic pool cleaner
Regular care helps maintain performance and extend the cleaner’s service life. Refer to the manual for detailed instructions and the operating limits of your model.
- Maintain correct pH and chemical levels. Unsuitable pH or excessive sanitiser concentrations can damage materials and shorten the cleaner’s life.
- Do not leave the cleaner in the pool unnecessarily. Remove the cleaner from the water after the cleaning cycle. Rinse it with clean water, allow it to drain and store it in a dry, ventilated place. Unnecessary prolonged immersion exposes its components to pool chemicals and mineral deposits.
- Clean the filter after every use. Empty and thoroughly rinse the basket or filter bag. A clogged filter restricts water flow and reduces cleaning performance.
- Rinse the entire cleaner after use in salt water. Avoid unnecessary immersion. After removal, thoroughly rinse the exterior, filter compartment and removable filters with clean, unsalted water to remove salt residue. Follow the manual’s rinsing and handling instructions.
