After years of use, the rubber seal on the underside of the rotor may deteriorate and wear.
As removing the seal is difficult, replacing the complete rotor is an easier solution.
Replacement requires a screwdriver and a hammer. Move the handle to an intermediate position, drive out the retaining pin and undo the six screws at the top of the valve. For the bayonet version, release the white locking pin at the edge of the valve and turn the lid by 45 degrees.
Insert the new rotor with its opening aligned with the filtration position, then refit the retaining pin. This ensures that the handle is not fitted the wrong way round.
