The tester quickly shows the current water condition so you can adjust the values immediately using pool chemicals.
DUKE drop tester (Cl) — chlorine
The tester measures free (active) chlorine. A quality tester is essential for keeping your pool water crystal clear. Always measure the pool water values first. If the results are outside the stated range (Cl 0.3–0.7), adjust the pool water using pool chemicals. First adjust pH to the required value using pH+ or pH−. Only then adjust the chlorine level (only increase the chlorine level; if it is too high, allow it to fall naturally over a few days). Apply chlorine after adjusting pH because its effectiveness drops rapidly outside the recommended pH range. Replacement pH and chlorine test reagents can be purchased separately.
Note: Take the water sample 30 cm from the pool edge and 30 cm below the surface.
The chlorine test checks whether the pool contains enough chlorine to destroy bacteria and algae.
Important: Perform tests in the shade, early in the morning or late in the evening, before adding chemicals. Store the tester in a cool, dark place. Keep the test chambers clean and dry.
