Replacement electrolytic cells for specific salt chlorinators
The cell is the working part of a salt chlorinator where chlorine is produced. Replacement depends on the equipment range, output version, connections and original part's catalogue code.
Two separate designs
The 4P cell for Minisalt 50 comes with a housing; its details exclude the nuts fixed into the pipework. The VA SALT C15 / SMART C15 cell is listed under code BS1500003 and has its own connection design. Similar dimensions or plate counts alone do not confirm interchangeability.
Identify the cause of low production first
Reduced chlorine production does not necessarily mean a worn cell. Diagnosis includes checking salinity, flow, temperature, deposits and control unit messages according to the manual. Cleaning or replacement is considered after these checks.
Service life depends on operating hours and conditions. Cleaning must follow the manufacturer's instructions to avoid damaging the electrode surface. The unit nameplate and photos of the connector and housing help identify a replacement.
