Extra-fine sand with a grain size of 0.3–0.8 mm. This sand offers excellent filtration. A layer of coarser sand must be placed at the bottom of the filter to prevent the finer sand from passing into the pool.

The sand in your sand filtration system is designed to effectively capture even the finest impurities thanks to its optimal grain size of 0.3 - 0.8 mm. Blown sand with edges better captures impurities and ensures cleaner water.
Wash the sand on the backwash once every three weeks.
Long-term efficiency and easy replacement
Sand should be replaced once every 3 years-4 years (the more filtration, the later) for outdoor pools and every 2 years for indoor pools with permanent use to maintain its absorbent properties. With regular replacement, your filtration will remain effective and you will save money on pool chemicals.
