PVC materials for connecting pool equipment
The circuit between the pool, filtration and other equipment consists of pipes or hoses, fittings, shut-off valves and removable joints. A well-arranged system also leaves space to remove the pump and maintain equipment.
Flexible pipework and solvent-weld joints
The Vágnerpool 50/43 mm flexible PVC hose has an outside diameter of 50 mm and inside diameter of 43 mm. The outside dimension determines which fittings it can be solvent-welded into. This is not the same as a hose with a 50 mm inside diameter fitted over a hose tail.
Isolating and dismantling the circuit
The FIP Easyfit 50 mm ball valve has solvent-weld connections and unions on both sides. It allows a branch to be closed and disconnected at the valve without cutting the solvent-weld pipework.
When designing the circuit, plan transitions between threaded and solvent-weld connections along with access to valve handles. An equipment bypass is designed according to the device's required flow and installation manual.
