When pH is too high, use a product intended to lower it. Selection and dosing follow water testing and the maintenance method used for the pool or spa.

Liquid products and automatic dosing
An automatic dosing system needs a liquid product with a concentration and composition permitted by the equipment manufacturer. Technical-grade acids listed in the same category should not be treated as universal substitutes for pool pH minus.
After adjustment, allow the water to mix and retest pH at the interval specified in the instructions. Never mix acidic products with chlorine concentrates; contact can release hazardous gas.
