Replacement safety thermal cut-out for EOV flow-through heaters. This version has an external reset and is shown at position 13. It is not the normal temperature-control thermostat.

Choosing the correct part

Repeated tripping requires investigation of overheating, flow and temperature control. Never bypass the cut-out or keep resetting it without resolving the fault. Do not confuse it with the internal-reset version.

Replacement and inspection

Isolate the heater from its power supply before any service. If opening the water circuit, let the heater cool, depressurise and drain it. Electrical work and safety checks must be carried out by a qualified technician following the heater manual. Check connections and watertightness before returning the heater to service; do not operate it without water flow.
