Pool heating by heat source and season length
Suitable heating depends on water volume, pool covering and the period of use. An outdoor pool used only in summer needs a different system from one used from spring to autumn.
Heat pump or heat exchanger
A pool heat pump uses heat from the surrounding air. Assess its output at temperatures that match the planned operation. Available ranges include Rapid Inverter and Rapid Mini Inverter.
A heat exchanger transfers heat from another heating circuit. The OVB range's nominal output is stated for a 60 °C temperature difference between incoming heating water and pool water. The same output cannot be expected at a lower source temperature.
Connection to the filtration system
Heating requires the specified flow, suitable connections and space for servicing. Covering the water helps reduce heat losses. The particular model must be suitable for salt water; the stainless steel OVB exchangers in our range are intended for non-salt pool water.
