The OVB range includes tubular heat exchangers in different sizes. The following table lists nominal outputs and our shop's indicative recommendations; actual heat transfer depends on the operating conditions of both circuits.
Heat exchangers and recommended pool volumes
| Model | Output* | Our recommended pool volume** |
|---|---|---|
| OVB 70 | 20 kW | Up to 20 m³ |
| OVB 130 | 38 kW | Up to 40 m³ |
| OVB 180 | 53 kW | Up to 60 m³ |
| OVB 250 | 73 kW | Up to 80 m³ |
| OVB 300 | 88 kW | Up to 100 m³ |
| OVB 500 | 145 kW | Up to 140 m³ |
* Heat exchanger output depends on temperatures and flow rates. The nominal output of the OVB range is stated for a 60 °C difference between the incoming heating water and pool water.
** Indicative recommendations from our shop. Before installation, assess the heat source's output and temperature, flow in both circuits, the desired heating rate and pool heat losses.
Boiler, heat pump or solar collector?
A heat exchanger does not generate heat; it transfers it between two separate circuits. With a low-temperature heat source, do not assume the catalogue output without checking the actual operating conditions. A larger exchanger will not increase the boiler's or heat pump's own output.
For saltwater, choose only a heat exchanger with compatibility explicitly confirmed by the manufacturer, such as a suitable titanium model.
The OVB 70 has a 1½″ pool connection and a ¾″ heating connection. The largest model listed, the OVB 500, uses a 2″ female thread on the pool side and a 1″ female thread on the heating side. These AISI 316 stainless steel versions are not intended for saltwater.
