Preva 25: A pool pump for everyone

The Preva 25 is a proven self-priming pool pump with a pre-filter, ideal for pools of around 15 m³. Connection via a 1½-inch female thread or by solvent-welding a 50 mm pipe into the included union makes installation easy and flexible. High durability and reliability

The Preva 25 pump is tested and proven for use in salt water, including seawater, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications. Each unit is individually tested, as documented by a test sticker attached to the instructions. The glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene pump body and diffuser provide exceptional durability and resistance.

Practicality and efficiency

The transparent pre-filter lid allows easy inspection for basket blockage and easy access for cleaning. The carbon-ceramic and AISI 316 stainless steel mechanical seal is mounted on a bronze insert for greater durability, while the lifetime-lubricated motor bearings ensure a long service life and quiet operation.

For optimum performance, position the pump correctly during installation and protect it from flooding and frost. When winterising, store the pump in a dry place at a constant temperature to extend its life. Installation and choosing the right pump

To choose the right pump for your pool, consider the pool volume and pipe length. The Preva 25 is ideal for pools of 10–20 m³ when installed close to the pool. If the pump is further away, choose the Preva 33. Always ensure that the full pool volume passes through the pump approximately once every 3 hours for optimum cleanliness.

Package contents and recommendations

The package includes the pump with pre-filter and lid, 2 unions with a 50 mm internal diameter and a Czech manual. For installation, use pool adhesive for PVC joints and consider installing a pool ball valve to make work on the pump easier.

Installation:

The pump must be mounted on a firm, smooth surface. The pump must be properly
secured using the two mounting holes in its base with two suitable
screws or threaded studs to prevent noise and vibration that could
affect pump operation.

For optimum self-priming, the pump must not be installed more than 2.5 m
above the water level.

Protect the pump from flooding, ensure adequate ventilation and
prevent exposure to frost. If installed outdoors, it must be
protected from rain.

We recommend installing shut-off valves on both the suction and
discharge sides so the pump can be removed when necessary without draining all the
pipework.

The suction pipe must have at least the same diameter as the pump inlet. On the discharge side,
use pipework with a diameter matching the pump outlet.
Lay the suction pipe with a slight upward slope towards the pump to prevent
air pockets.

Connect the pump to the pool circuit using, for example, 50 mm pipes or 50 mm flexible hose. The solvent-weld unions are included with the pump; see the illustration above. We also recommend installing a 50 mm pool ball valve before and after the pump, especially if it is below the pool water level. This prevents the pool from draining when working on the pump. For solvent-welding, use pool adhesive for PVC joints.

After winterising the pool, store the pump in a dry place with a constant temperature (such as a garage). This extends its life and prevents the corrosion that can occur in a damp pool equipment pit during wet autumn weather and winter frost.
