Basic skimmer for flow rates up to 9m3/h.

Made of ABS plastic with UV stabilisation.

Skimmer does not include a return nozzle.

Connecting the skimmer to the filtration system

Skimmer allows both threaded and hose connections.

Included in the package is a mandrel that you screw on from the bottom of the skimmer and then connect base hoses 32mm or base hoses 38mm.

Or you don't use the mandrel and screw in from the bottom of the skimmer nipl 1 and 1/2" (link) or external-threaded fitting (link)- this is not included

Attaching the skimmer to the pool wall

You can attach the skimmer to the pool wall with the flange only, see picture.

With the lost formwork, we would probably opt for a more robust skimmer that has a longer neck so that only the neck is concreted without narrowing the pool wall. You can still use this skimmer for lost formwork, you just need to omit the larger hole(40cm wide, 50cm high) and attach the skimmer to a plate you add from inside the pool. The rest of the skimmer is then concreted from the outside.

Skimmer Installation - Instructions

The skimmer will come to be placed in the top of the pool, near the filtration. Always install the skimmer, if you can, opposite the return nozzle to ensure circulation of the water. The skimmer collects debris from the pool surface, so it is imperative that it is placed at the top, the level is then about half or top third of the skimmer.

The skimmer can also subsequently place a flushable dispenser with chlorine tablets, but sufficient water circulation must be ensured.

Cut or cut a hole exactly to the inside size of the skimmer. If you are cutting sheet metal, paint the cut area and tape or file the cut area.

Insert the skimmer flap, then put the seal on the hole. Punch through the foil, hold the skimmer in place, and screw it through the flange with the included screws (start with the opposite ones, and gradually add more until you've used all 10) to the pool wall. Don't pull too hard so that the seal doesn't stretch too much and stop sealing.Then snap on the frame and cut out the rest of the foil inside the skimmer.

Next, you can attach the hose leading to the pump, use a pool hose clamp to prevent self-tapping from the mandrel leading from the skimmer.
