Choosing a robotic pool cleaner
Floor, walls and waterline
The waterline is the band of wall at water level; waterline cleaning does not mean collecting floating debris. The Dolphin E10 is one of the models focused on the floor. Briefly climbing a wall is not the same as cleaning its full height. The Dolphin Liberty 200 is a cordless model for cleaning floors and walls.
Pool size and reach
Recommended maximum pool size and power cable length are different specifications. With a corded robot, power supply placement and cable routing also matter. A battery model needs suitable conditions for charging and removal from the water.
Filters and operating modes
A lower micron rating means a finer filter. Package contents vary, and a fine basket is not necessarily included with every robot. Keeping it clean affects water flow during the next cycle.
Battery runtime varies with the mode, water temperature and battery condition. A long Eco programme does not necessarily mean continuous cleaning. Some cordless models require app settings to be changed out of the water. Follow the individual cleaner's instructions for operation, cleaning and storage.
